Inches doesn't have much effort, it's all about techniqueI might have found that my 1x12" cabinet doesn`t sound right for me as it has rear bass reflex so I might order a 12" cabinet from FMC which would fix both problems (acoustic and electric bass).
But I have tried with an active PA speaker (Morgan PA DSR12A, I guess not specially good) with 12" speaker btw and the sound was in my ears way more natural than my Eich T500 through a PJB C4. I guess I will try a QCS CP8 also then...

Some say they need a big speaker for double bass, some prefer smaller ones.
I'm very happy with 1x10"

They are various voicings in every speaker size. I would just trust Hans' opinion. He knows very well and has tons of experience.
