Hello there! Thanks for the great review. I'm sorry for writing english but I'm greek and don't know german... I read this thread with google translate.
So I have a few questions. I have a Heart Rock for 10 years now, which I am very happy with. But I just joined a band after a long time and I'm not very happy with moving its almost 20 kg around... I started looking on what is on offer with less weight, I saw the Blue Rock which seems the obvious choice - 5kg is manageable, even though it is still large. But I also saw the Mesa D800 and was amazed at the size/weight. Then I saw
Glockenklang also have just released the SH which is similar. So this is very interesting to me. However, I really like the headroom, responsiveness, detail and fatness of my HR. Back when I bought it there were again lighter amps, but I figured that its heavy class A amp section plays a big part in the HR's big sound. So I would like the portability, but will I be missing my HR? The problem is that I can't test it anywhere here in Greece, and I'll have to sell my HR to buy the SH. Do you think I might regret it? You said in a comment that for you all class D amps are compromises. I was surprised that Glockenklang seems to be leaving class A amps for class D and I thought that maybe the technology is much better by now? Still, do you feel like the HR could be a better amp in some regards than the SH, if weight wasn't an issue? Also, what do you think about the Mesa D800? I could have one sent from the USA for a manageable cost, so another option would be for example to keep the HR and buy the Mesa for rehearsals and gigs, although that would defeat the purpose of keeping a "better" amp, if it stays at home...
Thanks a lot in advance and again, sorry for the english...
