Mehr Lautstärke beim Solo?

... habe dazu vor kurzem was gelesen unter http://www.basslinks.nl/column1.html:

Some of us finally figure out we are playing with far too much force and begin to develop our "touch." This requires two basic things.
Playing with a much lighter and more relaxed technique, and turning your amp up allowing it to do the work. You paid big money for that amplifier, so let it do its job.

Once you have made this adjustment in your technique you, your bandmates, and of course the audience will notice a much more incandescent presence in the overall mix from the bass, not to mention your overall playing will show vast improvement.

The first thing I experienced was warmer, fatter notes that spread out more evenly across the sonic spectrum. My notes now suddenly had much more depth. Secondly I realized I was now actually supporting the music rather than constantly using a sonic plow to carve out the groove. In short, I got out of my own way.

Due to the positive reinforcement this new touch was now giving me I soon became addicted to this technique and never looked back. My awareness of dynamics also became much sharper, and for the first time when my solos came I didn't start tweaking my volume...I just played because now my 'touch' WAS my volume. No volume pedal, compressor, noise gate, effects processor, moonrock bass picks...just my fingers. When Jaco said, "it's all in the right hand"...he spoke volumes.
