The staff at Revelation Guitars have a few connections to the old Hohner office in Wales, Revelation being an old Hohner brand name.Ex Hohner head honcho Alan Entwistle is back as designer / adviser, the arrangement is the same type of deal Trev Wilkinson had with Vintage. Wilkinson was an employee of Entwistle's many years ago

This RPBX took my fancy a few years back and one point I considered building one. This came from a music store closing sale. £175,it saved me much work. Also saved me a lot of money: D

A 5kg jazz bass with a 42mm nut, perfect for those who do not like thin noses. The profile is a shallow D shape so while reasonably wide it's not chunky.
Blocks and binding, sunburst and an attempt at tort, it's firmly a jazz bass :-) The 2 solid Vol, 1 Tone pots turn smoothly. What lifts this above an ordinary jazz bass copy is the Entwistle Neo pickups. Very powerful yet retain a wide range, unlike overwound pickups.

Strung with flats ,the tone is Ron Carter's sound from Gil Scott-Heron's "The Revelution will not be televised."

No need to explore further : Beer:
