bassologic hat ein neues Inserat eingestellt:

GL SB2 Bass 1982 - GL SB2 Bass 1982

Dieser feine und seltene Bass darf den Besitzer wechseln, denn ich spiele ihn zu selten.
Kommt im abgebildten HSC und der Bass ist im originalen Zustanfd und weist ein normale Spielspuren auf.
Selten anzutreffen in rot

Hello,

Obviously a beautiful instrument.

As an owner of many vintage SB-2s for some years now, currently owing 3 of them, I would like to make a point with good intention.

The crack is being mentioned in your ad, and yes it is common, but it's also common evidence that the instrument has been abused by some owner in the past. The neck is essentially fully damaged, but some skilled luthier could possibly make a viable repair.

I doubt you can get it to 4 or 3mm action at the 12th fret at its current state. Every time you tighten the truss rod, you risk getting the whole fretboard open.

Bi-cut necks and technology of the past aren't common knowledge, so a potential buyer should know these things before making a purchase.
I say lets address a problem as a problem, and not transfer it to the next owner without him knowing.

One last small little detail cause it is mentioned in the ad. The truss rod in this neck is single action, that means you can only tighten it. You can't create upbow by turning it anticlockwise.

Good luck with the sale!

yes - the truss was overtightend from the previous owner - but it’s fully functional and a good action is currently fixed. There’s no problem beside an optical issue.
So thanks you for your execution, but I’m not shifting a problem to a new owner.
That said - I also have a deeper knowledge of Bass- Adjustment and older GL Basses also. I own another 4 (Lynx, L2000, L5500, El Toro)
There is no Prob transferred with it.
Thanks

If you do really think that tightening the truss rod more and cracking the whole fretboard in half isn't a problem, well you know...
I can see the ''deep knowledge'' ! :engel:

Happy sale!

I guess you didn’t understand the differences between over-tightening (what sometimes results in broken trussrods / tore off bullets or damaged fretboards) and the problem you’re talking about. There IS a difference - believe me!
Honestly spoken - I don't appreciate the way you're struggling into my ad.
You can write me a personal message instead
Best

No will to ruin your sale.
However, I see a damaged fretboard here, going by the word, just a ''common'' crack. I wanted to address that.
Nothing more to be said.
