Selling amazing Yamaha BB3000AF bass. Active fretless, the highest (next to the five-string BB5000) model of this iconic series. It dates back to the late 80s/early 90s, the serial numbers of Yamahas are quite messed up. Most importantly - it is Japanese production, not Taiwanese.
Body made of alder, NTB maple/mahogamy neck and a noble ebony on the fretboard with rather subtle fretlines. The whole thing is covered with a striking Cosmo Black lacquer - in the photos you can see where the name comes from. Solid bridge, large tuners, caps around pickups in PJ layout - all gold, but modest. The condition is great - the hardware has kept its color and there is no rust, there is literally one scratch on the paint from the back of the body and no dongs. Fretboard has no gauges despite three decades of playing, obviously flatwounds have been used. Solid weight, around 4,5 kg.
I have great doubts about selling it, because it's a very rare (especially in this condition) and absolutely professional fretless with beautiful sound and limitless sustain. Unfortunately, the neck is a bit too wide to my full comfort, it's 43mm at the saddle just like in a Preciosion (even though the neck profile is more jazz-bassy). A new Thomann lightcase caomes with the bass.
Based in Poland, can send anywhere in the EU.
