Selling Yamaha BB1100S from 1985.
Made in Japan (not Taiwan!) with active 3-band EQ/passive electronics and Yamaha PJ pickups, this full-scale bass is a workhorse ready to adapt to any genre: rock, blues, jazz, funk or pop, you name it (probably would look out of touch on a metal scene though...).
Nicely grained alder body, one-piece (really dense - look at the pictures!) maple neck, rosewood fingerboard - it's a one-size-fits-all combination. Finished with typical Yamaha craftsmanship, it's a reasonably light (c. 4kg) and very playable bass with quite wide, but slim neck of 22 frets.
You can tell the bass is 40 years old: there's a lot of dings and dongs, including one unsightly damaged area at a side (previous owner said it was caused by a nail protruding from an old hardcase, heh...). Also, there's some visible milking of the varnish.
At the same time, it's all superficial. Technically, the bass is still great. It has recently been professionally refretted and set up, electronics and hardware work great and there's no doubt it's ready to serve another four decades.
The bass is located in Poznan, Poland (!), but can be safely shipped anywhere within the EU.
Private sell due to collection reduction, therefore no warranty, return etc.
