Long story short:
I bought a new P5R at Thomann that turned out to be a bad one, I then returned that bass and bought another P5R here on Bassic.
The next day I get a message from Thomann that I had waited too long to get a refund, but that they can replace the bass for me with another one as it was still under waranty.
So now I ended up with 2 identical P5R's and I need to sell one of them again to fill up the hole in my bank account...
The bass is equipped with Schaller ultralight tuners that were already installed when I bought the bass from "M-rek" here on the forum and whoever installed these did a quite professional looking job I must say.
I've shielded the cavity with coppertape and upgraded the jack, wiring and potti's.
The bass is superlightweight for a 5 string, weighing in at 3,7 a 3,8kg. (My other P5R weighs over 600grams more!).
This one has a super resonant body that has a very nice and loud unamplified sound.
Now for the bad:
There's a chip out if the lacker at the neckpocket where the neck joins the body.
There's a scratch on the pickupcover.
And there's a hairline crack in the finish under the bridge (This had another bridge installed for a moment, but decided to go back to the original as the original bridge just sounded best on this bass).
I've tried to highlight all these flaws in the pictures as good as I could. In real life however the scratches are hardly noticable and you probably wont even see them if you're not looking for them.
Other than the knicks and bumps mentioned above this bass looks, feels and plays great and she just had a pro set-up witth a fresh set of D'addario 45-130 nickel roundwound strings.
It also comes with the Thomann Elite gigbag as shown in the pictures.
I'm hoping to get +- 395€ for this, and will consider a Peterson Strobe tuner or a fretless, 5string Sire V5 or P5 as a partial trade.
EDIT: lowered price to 375€ for a quick sale.
