Hello!
I am shrinking my gear due to moving plans within EU - so reluctantly I am putting for sale a custom PJ bass that I completed for myself
- Body -> probably a maple, made about 1996 by Polish Luthier Maciej Mensfeld. Maciej used to work for some time in the US, and his instruments were listed in Luthier's Access Groups (for instance: https://www.luthiersaccessgroup.com/product/matthew-mensfeld-6-32-scale-mec-pickups/)
His inheritance is now handled by Mensinger and so on I belive as he's a part of old-luthiers-school in PL.
the body has a little dings shown on photo, nothing really bad
- Neck: the neck is made by Alexander Guitars in Poland, it's an exact copy of Fender '51 P-bass in profile. Maple+Rosewood with a block markers
- Hipshot Lollipop tunners
- Hipshot TransTone Bridge
- EMG GZR Passive PU's
- Brass nut & Gotoh retainer
- Pickguard is custom made - it's not a regular P.
- Dunlop pegs (with no locks, i'll keep it by the strap)
This bass sounds like decent P-bass, while J-pickup does not give you an exact PJ variation. I belive it's rather like a Yamaha BBx-style that makes a variety of colors itself. However - most of studio guys use either P or J itself rather than PJ.
Bass is located in Warsaw/Poland. We can arrange shipment or even try to meet half-way in delivery. Soft gigbag included.
it was recently (about 6months ago) serviced by local luthier.
That's a good one - worth of your attention IMO My own signature included - I was completing it for myself. The only reason of sale is that it'll be hard to move with "many basses" so I'll be puting more of a good gear here soon!
My identity is easy to confirm - just go to www.sebastiankucharski.com
SoundSamples & pics below. Not edited, I've put some light only. The color is kinda blood/cherry metallic. Rather darker when lights are off.
