NEW PRICE. For sale a gem from my collection - the Ibanez SR30TH4P Soundgear series, produced to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
A Premium series model built exclusively in 2017 - and this anniversary festivity is evident in both the choice of materials and hardware (ash, mahogany, wenge ; Nordstrand Big Single pickups, Gotoh keys, Mono Rail bridge) and the care of the finish (perfectly -fitted woods, tight neck pocket, rounded sides of frets, etc. - solid luthier workmanship)
A feature of the model are the acoustic chambers, which add some depth to the sound and reduce the weight - the bass weighs only 3.7 kg.
Very high sonic flexibility - there's a 3-band EQ, a three-position midrange boost and an active/passive switch (importantly - a guitar in passive mode doesn't sound like it suddenly runs out of fuel, it still plays strong and with a good signal). The sound is modern, bright, feisty - Nordstrands are quite 'growly' on their own, and with the ash body the effect is only enhanced.
Manually the bass is amazing - very thin neck, flat radius and super low string action.
The neck is perfectly straight - Ibanez has been using titanium reinforcements along the truss rod in higher models for some time, so there will be no surprises here.
I rate the condition as at least excellent - apart from one tiny mark on the body, there are no blemishes, and you will find maybe two scratches on the headstock.
Like all Ibanezes from the Premium series, the bass comes with a dedicated solid but lightweight case.
The guitar is located in Poznań, Poland (3 hours drive from Berlin), but I can ship it securely.
