Hi,
Up for sale/trade is this brand new Jon Kammerer customs Orion hollow body bass with both a fretted and fretless neck.

The bass comes with an easy to use slide in system for the neck that enables you to lock the neck securely in place with just one bolt.
This allows you to change the neck from fretted to fretless or the other way around in less than 5 minutes!

For those that don't know Jon Kammerer I suggest you to check his website.
He has been building basses for decades and already made his fame with incredible innovations like the quickswap pickup system and this bass is no different when it comes to functional innovations that will only make your life easier.

The body is completely hollow with sound holes both in the top and the bottom of the body which make the bass incredingly resonant and every note sounds loud and clear even when played unamplified (which usually is a problem with acoustic basses, but certainly not with this one!).

The knobs, tuners and jack-input are recessed in the body, the back of the body is ergonomically shaped to perfectly fit your body when playing and
the piëzo bridge is fully adjustable.

The electronics (with trimpot for the gain for the piëzo) can be easely accessed by screwing of the backplate that holds the battery compartment.

The piëzo sounds very nice and is controlled by 1 volume knob and 1 tone knob (that also adds gain) at your fingertips and a trimpot inside the bass to fine tune the gain of the piëzo.

These are not cheap as Jon's basses normally sell for 3000-4500€ with this Orion (especially with the extra neck) falling into the higher category of that price range.

More info about the bass:

Lucky for the buyer I won this bass in an online contest, so I'm not looking to get the maximum value out of it.

The bass is brand new (arrived yesterday), comes with an optional neck, allen keys for adjusting the neck and bridge, straplocks and a brand new formfit foam case classic from Gator (comparable to the guitar sized Mono M80).

Normally this would set you back +-4000€ + shipping and import costs,
so I think 1950€ should be a very nice starting point for both parties concerning a possible sale/trade.

The bass plays and sounds great (i.m.o. all acoustics should have adjustable bridge saddles like this as it is an absolute godsend if you like to have a proper intonation set-up!) and I would love to keep it, but I just started a new band and I honestly could use the budget better to buy gear I really need for the band rather than having a top-quality semi acoustic at home that I would probably never be able to use with the band that I am in.
